Dr. Gail Weingast: Over 40 Years of Excellence in Medical Imaging

With more than four decades of experience, Dr. Gail Weingast is a respected figure in medical imaging, currently serving as Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She began her journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Tufts University in 1969, followed by her Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine in 1976. Dr. Gail Weingast’s training included residencies in pediatrics and radiology, as well as an ultrasound fellowship at Colorado General Hospital, and further studies at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver. Her extensive background has solidified her expertise in radiology and ultrasound across multiple states.
